Late August 2026 — the Golden Pokeball Challenge

Ranked PvP matchmaking

The GPC arena is open. Talk to the GPC Arena Host — in Dissidia's plaza or the Pokemon League lobby — and the Golden Pokeball Challenge hub opens: your rating, rank, record and coins at a glance, with everything one click away. Hit Join and matchmaking pairs you with the closest-rated trainer in the queue, straight into a ranked 3v3 where every Pokemon on both sides is scaled to Lv50. Pure skill: no items, no stakes, switching allowed, and anyone can spectate the fight.

Elo rating & leaderboard

Every ranked result moves your Elo rating — beat a stronger opponent for a bigger jump. Check the Top 10 leaderboard and your own rank any time from the GPC panel.

Golden Pokeball Coins & the GPC Shop

Ranked matches pay Golden Pokeball Coins — win big, and even a hard-fought loss earns a little. Spend them in the exclusive GPC Shop: Master Balls, Rare Candies, Ability Capsules, Shiny Packages, and rare Pokemon like Dratini, Larvitar, Beldum, Gible, Deino and Goomy.

Late August 2026 — part 2

Feedable berries

Berries do both jobs now. Use a berry on a Pokemon and it eats it on the spot — curing its status, restoring HP or PP — in or out of battle. If the berry has nothing to fix right now, your Pokemon simply holds it instead.

Honest sell prices

The PokeMart sell screen now shows the real sell price (half the buy value) instead of the shop price — what you see is what you get.

Unique Pokemon IDs

Every Pokemon now carries its own unique ID number, shown as ID NO on the summary screen — assigned in order of when it joined the world, and it stays with the mon through trades and box moves.

Fishing spots re-placed

Ripple spots across the whole region were re-positioned onto the first water tile off each beach, so every spot is castable from the sand.

Victory Road waterfalls

The waterfalls in Victory Road were fully reworked — surf to the base of a fall and use Waterfall to climb it, cell by cell, all the way up.

Quality of life

Bag items keep a stable position (no more items hiding after a relog), and donors get a login note showing when their [D] perks expire.

Late August 2026

Guilds

Team up and rep your crew. Found a guild with /guild create <name>, then invite friends, and manage it with /guild invite, /guild accept, /guild members and /guild leave. Guilds get their own Guild chat tab — messages there reach your guildmates only — and your guild name shows right on your Trainer Card.

Move Tutors in the Lab

Two tutors now wait in Professor Bailey's Lab. The Move Tutor teaches your Pokemon the moves it knew as an Egg. The new Special Tutor teaches the ultimate starter moves — Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, Hydro Cannon (for fully-evolved starters) — and Draco Meteor for any Dragon-type.

Battle Tower

Get disconnected mid-run? You now rejoin the exact same battle when you log back in. And a tower run now completes at 21 straight wins — collect your rewards, then the tower reopens for you the following week.

Hidden Abilities

Wild, gifted and starter Pokemon now have a rare chance to come with their Hidden Ability — a little extra reason to check every catch.

Mega Evolution

All 48 Mega forms are in. Mega Stones are not for sale — the only way to earn one is the very rare stone drop after defeating a Gym Leader, the Elite Four or the Champion. Rematches count, so keep challenging the League. Have the right Pokemon hold its stone and a MEGA button appears in battle: press it, and on its next move your partner transforms — new form, new stats, new types, its mega ability — and stays mega for the whole fight. Once per battle, and no, Knock Off can't steal a Mega Stone.

The Fairy type

The eighteenth type is live, exactly as Kalos intended: 35 Pokemon from the Clefairy line to Sylveon and Xerneas reclassified, 17 moves including Moonblast, Play Rough and Dazzling Gleam, the full type chart — dragons beware — and its own pink badge across the interface.

Legendary encounters

Any wild encounter, anywhere — grass, surf or rod — can suddenly be one of 54 legendary Pokemon. The server announces the find to everyone; spectate the fight live with /spec. Catch it and it vanishes in a flash of light, leaving its blessing: hours of boosted shiny odds, EXP, money, drops or rare spawns. Check yours with /perks. And if the aura looks wrong... that's a Shadow one.

Abilities & held items

Every Pokemon now rolls a real ability — Intimidate, Levitate, Huge Power, Speed Boost, ninety of them actually doing things in battle — shown on its summary. Held items are in too: Leftovers, Choice items, type boosters and berries, found as rare wild drops, bought in marts, or earned on the Battle Pass. Give one from the bag with a right-click; an Ability Capsule rerolls an ability.

The Pokemon League

Beyond the eighth badge: the Elite Four and the Champion await, with a server-wide broadcast for every new Champion — and they take rematches weekly.

The Battle Pass

A new season every month: 30 tiers, a reward at every single one, and objectives that complete automatically as you play — catching, gym battles, fishing, trading, PvP. Open it from the new Battle Pass icon on the top bar or with /pass, and collect with /claim. Both tracks finish with a Shiny Package — a random shiny rolled from the rare wild pool. The free track carries evolution stones, nuggets, Rare Candies and shiny/EXP boosts; Eclipse supporters follow the premium track instead. Full ladder at pdod.dev/pass.

Community forums

New forums at pdod.dev/forum — sign in with your existing game account, no separate registration. Boards for help, bug reports, suggestions and trading, with your badges, trainer number and staff tag shown on every post.

Weekly roaming Pokemon

Once a week the server announces a single special Pokemon somewhere in the region — shiny, unusually powerful, or carrying a hoard of loot. Only one exists, and the first trainer to catch or defeat it claims it.

Hide your follower

/disablefollow puts your follower Pokemon away, /activatefollow brings it back — for everyone, instantly, no relog.

Alakazam teleporter: two new stops

Tutorial Town (no badge required) and the Elite Four lobby. The destination window now pages, so it can hold more than eight locations.

Battle & item fixes

July 2026

Fishing spots & fishing animation

Fishing spots now appear as rippling patches along the shoreline, and casting works at a spot rather than anywhere on the water. Your trainer plays the proper rod animation while the line is out, and other players can see you fishing.

Shiny sprites everywhere

Shiny Pokemon now show their shiny artwork in the party menu, the PC box, the trade window and the battle switch menu — not just in battle.

Drag and drop in the PC

Move Pokemon between box slots by dragging them with the left mouse button. Right-click still opens summary, withdraw and release.

Two new generations

The Pokedex now runs to 721, with Generation 5 and 6 species, their movepools, evolutions and TM compatibility, plus every learnset rebuilt from real data.

A modern interface

A proper top bar with menu icons, clock and the item hotbar; party, bag and friends panels you can toggle and drag anywhere; a wider view of the world; and a launcher option for a bigger window.
